Hotbox by Wiz: A Review of the Stoner Culinary Revelation

If you're a fan of Wiz Khalifa, you've probably heard of his new food concept, HotBox. The restaurant, aptly named after the famous stoner and musician, is a collaboration between Wiz and RiverRock Cannabis, a Colorado-based grower. HotBox offers a unique menu that pairs marijuana with delicious food. But is it really the stoner culinary revelation we were expecting?I decided to find out for myself and ordered a few items from the HotBox menu.

I started with the Fully Packed Bowl, which was definitely the best stoner food I've had all year. The flavor and depth of the wings matched that of WingStop or Buffalo Wild Wings. I also tried the Blazed OG Cheetos Burger, which was surprisingly good. However, I haven't tried the chicken sandwich yet, which Wiz counts as one of his personal highlights. The delivery app said that HotBox was located at 120 E.

Cannabis Street, which is in the Northern California Bay Area. Apparently, this is the only weed Wiz smokes. So if you want to smoke what Wiz smokes in the studio, this indica-trend hybrid is definitely worth buying. You can order HotBox online on the official website or through third-party delivery services such as DoorDash, UberEats, Postmates, and GrubHub. Unfortunately, HotBox isn't taking advantage of the increasingly popular “ghost kitchen” model, where restaurants that don't really exist in the meat space operate from professional kitchens and take advantage of existing delivery infrastructure. On September 25th, Wiz posted a video to Instagram showing behind the scenes of a HotBox photo shoot.

My order came with the Bigger Blazier Buffalo Wings order, not to be confused with the Bigger Better Buffalo Wings on the menu. The wings were pretty excellent and definitely lived up to their name. Overall, I'm not disappointed with my experience at HotBox by Wiz. Although it wasn't quite the stoner culinary revelation I expected, it was still a great experience. The food was delicious and I'm looking forward to trying more items from their menu.
